Challenge
The Robotzsaru system is the Hungarian police's key IT solution, which previously operated in a decentralized manner. This system was running across several governmental institutions, complicating unified data management and efficient information sharing. The fragmentation of the system posed significant challenges in terms of data integrity and overall system performance.
The consolidation of databases onto the Exadata X9 servers was a complex process that required careful planning and execution.
A key element during the implementation of the Exadata X9 servers was the use of KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine) virtualization. This technology allowed for the efficient allocation and utilization of physical resources while ensuring the logical separation of different environments (production, testing, development).
The implementation of the Exadata X9 servers faced numerous challenges. One of the biggest tasks was the proper design and integration of functions organized into various network segments. This complexity required thorough planning and close collaboration between the different divisions of the ORFK.
How we helped?
- Data Assessment
- Mapping all relevant databases and data structures.
- Planning
- Developing a unified data model and migration strategy.
- Data Cleansing
- Removing redundant and outdated data, improving data quality.
- Migration
- Transferring data to Exadata X9 servers, ensuring data integrity.
- Infrastructure Implementation
- Installing and configuring Exadata X9 servers.
- System Optimization
- Performance tuning and security checks.
- KVM Virtualization
- This technology enables efficient sharing of physical resources and isolation of different environments.
- Network Segregation
- Ensures that various functions and databases operate in isolated network segments.
- Security Compliance
- Due to the sensitive nature of police data, special attention was given to adhering to security regulations.
